Ecom Operators is the in-house creative team behind a portfolio of 10 e-commerce brands across health, wellness, and skincare. Our strategists own the front of the funnel: the angle, the avatar, the pain point, the proof. They hand briefs to editors that already have the hook locked in. The work is research-heavy, opinionated, and fast.

Our strategists don’t sit on briefs. They ship angles every week.

What we're looking for.

2+ years of paid-social strategy.

Non-negotiable. You’ve briefed for performance, not for brand decks.

Deep research instinct.

Reviews, Reddit, TikTok comments, support tickets. You go looking for the unguarded moments where the real pain lives.

Persona fluency.

You can articulate a buyer’s situation, doubt, and dream in their own language — not in marketing-speak.

AI-native workflow.

ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gummysearch — you reach for them daily for research synthesis, not because someone told you to.

DR mindset.

You know the difference between an angle and an aesthetic. You’ve seen what converts on Meta and TikTok.

Self-managed.

Briefs out the door without supervision. You don’t need a PM to keep you on schedule.

Don't apply if:

  • You think “strategy” is a moodboard.
  • You’ve never sat in on a customer call or read a hundred reviews back-to-back.
  • Your portfolio is brand campaigns, not direct response.
  • You want to run focus groups and write 40-page decks. We don’t.
  • You’ve only ever briefed your own edits — you’ve never handed a brief to another editor and watched them cut from it.
